Ono’s Diary: Absolut Unique Night

Hello my fashion lovers,

How was your weekend! It’s the start of a new week and to start it here’s a quote to inspire you, "Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live."- Jim Rohn.

So with that being said, last Friday (10th May 2013) I was at the Absolut Unique Night at Reeds Restaurant Awolowo Road Ikoyi. This invite only event was to launch the limited edition range of Absolut Vodka- each bottle is a collector’s item and has been specially hand-sprayed with different colours on them. If you happen to buy a bottle or more don't throw away the bottles, keep them as souvenirs.

For the evening I am wearing this cream sheer shirt with gold details on the collar from Zara, black leather effect leggings from Topshop, black leather heels from Cesare Paciotti, black and gold hard box clutch with long chain strap from Bebe. I finally finished my look by accessorising with this long gold necklace from French Connection, gold with black pearl cocktail ring and a stack of gold and pearl bangles fro Asos.

What do you think of my look?

Have a lovely week ahead! And please make OnoBello.com your daily destination for information and everything classy and fun! xx

Ono’s Diary: Glam Squad Anchor & Vanguard Allure Contributing Editor Latasha Ngwube’s 30th Birthday Dinner

Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos,

How are things? I know…..it’s been a few weeks since I updated my diary *naughty naught me* lol…
Okay, so last night (Wednesday May 8th) I made it to Latasha Ngwube’s 30th surprise birthday dinner, with 30 of her close friends. We were all there to welcome her into the 30s league or how I like to call it “Proper Bigz girls”. The dinner was at Bazaar Restaurant, 4th floor Mega Plaza, Victoria Island.

Well, I have known Latasha for about eight years now, she is a former colleague and friend from my years working at ThisDay Style. Latasha is now the anchor of “Fashion Police” television program- Glam Squad and also the Contributing Editor at popular newspaper pull-outmagazine Vanguard Allure. Happy birthday babe! Xx.

So for the evening, I am wearing this black sheer dress with sequin detailing from Monsoon, black blazer from French Connection, blue satin sling-back sandals from Dune and Green faux-leather clutch from River Island. Oh! I am spotting my natural Afro hair (please do not laugh), I am growing my hair, maybe one day it will look like that of Solange Knowles. Hehehehehhehe….

Until next time stay fabulous!

Ono’s Diary: The Launch Of Kinabuti 2013 Collection “Carnival In The Desert”

Hello lovely fashion lovers,

How has your week been? Well, if it has been stressful and if business has been a bit tough then here’s a quote from one of my mentors to cheer you up this Friday- “One thing is certain in business. You and everyone around you will make mistakes." - Richard Branson.

So last night I was at the launch of Kinabuti 2013 collection “Carnival In The Desert”, the totally packed event was held at the Italian Consulate General on Walter Carrington Crescent in Victoria Island Lagos.
Kinabuti is a Nigeria-based fashion brand headed by Italians- CaterinaBortolussi and Francesca Rosset. Launched in 2010, the brand helps under-privileged women develop new skills and improve their working and living conditions.

For the evening, I wore this lace and sequin mini dress by Lanre DaSilva Ajayi. Check Website for more information on designer worn as a top with matching black pleated and tulle skirt from French Connection. Handbag is a black Chanel classic and Leopard print pumps are from MiuMiu.

The picture quality is a bit low, snapped from my phone! What do you think of my look? I totally love black, don’t ask me why…lol

Keep checking back for photos of guests and runway show from the collection launch.
