Judges Ordeal on Nigeria’s Got Talent as 50 Acts Goes To The Semi Final

It was no walk in the park for the judges of Africa’s biggest talent hunt show, Nigeria’s Got Talent over the weekend as they made final decisions on acts from auditions in seven cities across Nigeria. The judges, Kate Henshaw, Dan Foster and Yibo Koko selected 50 outstanding acts for the semi-finals and they hinted that originality and exciting contents are part of the qualities that will win their vote.

When Lanre DaSilva Ajayi was only a university student in the early 2000s in England, she had an epiphany that told her she was going to go on to become a fashion designer, “I knew that I was going to create pieces that personify sophistication, femininity, brilliance and boldness”, and today, almost 10 years down the line, these are things that still inspire her as each of her collections are born out of, “couture, colour and boldness with an edgy twist, that’s the signature of my designs”.

Our new talent for this week is Glamm Fashions, founded by two artistic friends -Mary Ajetunmobi and Gbemi Alli-Odedina. The womenswear and menswear clothing label started in 2009 out of the women’s keen desire to create unique fashion items that merge African fabrics with Western culture design patterns. Their clothing exudes the beauty and elegance of African fabrics and embellishments, while also playing on adornments from the Eastern and Western cultures
