Our contributing Fashion Stylist Ivy Ekong based in St. John’s Wood London is on here to dish out on how to wear the hot new Peplum trend.
With fashion's gaze firmly resting on the waist, there's no better way to dress your midriff than with a peplum - it's spring's big silhouette story.
A surprisingly versatile addition to your new season wardrobe, chic peplums add a new dimension to skirt suits and separates for day. A lot of high street stores and fashion designers added peplums to sharp tailoring, giving a dash of femininity to classic workwear while others gave the trend its prettiest incarnation with peplums of layered lace of pretty frills for all-out romanticism.
Peplum is back. It’s not figure fitting, it won’t make you thin, most men don’t find it sexy, but it’s back and trendy. Why on earth is it one of the season’s trend and a high street hit? How do you pull off this trend?

When the peplum began its comeback over 6 months ago, most fashion ire thought the trend will last only on the catwalk, little did they know that is it a trend that has come to stay for good. Every high street retailer has one in her shop, just to show that they are in trend but little would have backed it six months ago.
The trend has been championed by celebrities like Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Solange Knowles, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Hudson,Cheryl Cole, Blake Lively and others.
