Denims Are Back With A Blast From The Past

A lot of trends and fashion statement pieces have come and gone, these trends are what make fashion what it is. The fashion industry look forward to new looks, trends and fashion statements, as much as fashion statements come and go some just won’t go away. Remember the 90’s when all anyone seemed to wear was denims, scuffed-up cons, lumberjacks shirts and band tees: you might think all these were once top fashion trends of a by gone era, but a couple of these old steady fast have been making a come back and in closets in recent years.
Trust that the lumberjacks were making such a huge wave back in the 2009 and still found its way in 2011, now it is denim’s turn to return from fashion exile back into fashion boutiques, not that it was ever really out.

Trendsetters sought to reclaim a fashion no-no in the past of double denim look. A look previously known as the Texan Tuxedo, lost its appeal way back in 2001 but shows now it’s being revitalized by fashion leaders and A list celebs, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Sienna Miller amongst others. Flattering cuts and shades of these versatile fabrics together are being paired by some of these fashion icons, light shade of denim on top of dark ones are the most flattering. Its being seen that the best way to wear this is to pair a light denim shirt with a darker jeans or a stylish cut off is the best to go just to add jazz to the look. The denim on denim look don’t have to be the regular blue denim, you can mix it up by stepping into your favorite white denim jeans, shorts or trousers and topping it off with dark denim shirts. For summer days where denim is just to constructing , chopped off denim shorts and sleeves western-style are lifelines for this trend; but at all cost avoid wearing them together. You can also keep in mind that one denim look won’t be coming back anytime soon is cut off denim skirts, at least not if you are not 11 years old.

So, denim jackets are definitely a wardrobe staple this spring. Just throw a demin jacket over your favorite dress and ready to rock a fun-edgy look.
A great way to keep this look on the mature side is to pair it with toned down neutrals. You can also make this look edgy and trendy by using a graphic tee and adding a belt or two. Or make it girly with a floral tunic, heels and denim vest. So you might want to go out and try some.
