MTV All Stars Holding Tonight! Snoop Lion Arrives SA | Arrival + Press Conference Photos

 

Internationally acclaimed rap king, Snoop Lion formerly known as Snoop Dogg promised eager fans a stellar performance of some of the greatest hits that pushed him to fame at the MTV All Stars Concert holding today 18th of May 2013 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, People’s Park, Durban, South Africa. It will feature some of African music heavyweights like 2face, Dbanj, Fally Ipupa, Camp Mulla, Zakes Bantwini, Professor among many others.

The multiple award winning rapper who received a Kwazulu Natal ceremonial welcome from a Kwazulu-Natal dance troupe upon his arrival in Durban, South Africa had a meet and greet with the media and fans who came from different parts of the world to witness the first of its kind African concert.

Snoop Lion said "Coming back to my African roots to perform alongside Africa's most talented acts has always been a dream for me. This concert will witness the best of Snoop Dogg and Snoop Lion tomorrow as I will be performing a lot of tracks which pushed me into lime light. I also can't wait to witness performances from my African brothers and I'm honoured to MTV Base for this initiative".

Nigerian superstar, Dbanj who was also present at the press conference expressed his anticipation towards the concert. "I'm really excited to be here and I can't wait to perform on the same stage with Africa's most celebrated stars. The Africa All Stars initiative is an impressive platform that brings African talents together to celebrate African Music and I'm glad to be a part of it."

Pregnancy Rumours As Beyoncé Postpones Belgium Show, Apologizes With Handwritten Note To Fans

Beyoncé is known as one of the hardest working entertainers in the world, so it seemed a little suspicious when she cancelled her show in Antwerp, Belgium this week citing "dehydration and exhaustion”, then the pregnancy rumours came up. The singer is only a month into her Mrs. Carter tour. 


Beyoncé has offered an apology through her Tumblr, writing that this is the first time she’s postponed a show.

Dj Caise Completes MTV Africa All Stars Line Up With Snoop Lion, 2face, Dbanj, Others!

South African music lovers are gearing up for the concert of a lifetime and a full scale all-star invasion as organisers and musicians involved with MTV Africa All Stars KwaZulu-Natal with Snoop Lion, start arriving in the city of Durban.

Plans are on the way for the urban beat-fest being staged jointly by KwaZulu-Natal Province and music channel MTV Base (DStv Channel 322).  The concert will feature live performances by urban giant Snoop Lion (formerly known as Snoop Dogg) and an all star line-up from across the continent including 2Face, D’Banj, Fally Ipupa, Flavour, Professor, Big Nuz, Camp Mulla, Zakes Bantwini and Zahara.

In addition, two of South Africa’s biggest DJs have been signed up for the concert, with DJ Tira and DJ Cleo guaranteed to keep the crowd on their feet at the awesome open air gig.  They’ll be joined by Nigeria’s DJ Caise creator and leading exemplar of the “Gidihousemusic” scene.
